9 Days Jammu and Kashmir Trip Overview

This 9-day Himalayan journey begins in Srinagar, covering Mughal gardens and spiritual landmarks before heading east through Sonamarg and crossing Zojila Pass into the rugged terrain of Ladakh via Kargil. The route follows the historic Srinagar–Leh highway, gradually transitioning from Kashmir’s green valleys to Ladakh’s high-altitude desert landscapes.

After reaching Leh and allowing time for acclimatization, the itinerary moves north across Khardung La into Nubra Valley. An extended stay in Nubra includes an excursion to Turtuk and frontier villages before returning to Hunder.

From Nubra, the journey shifts eastward along the Shyok corridor toward Pangong Lake, followed by a return to Leh via Chang La Pass. The circuit connects Kashmir Valley, Kargil belt, Indus Valley, Nubra’s desert terrain, and the high-altitude lake region before concluding with departure from Leh.
