From Nubra, the route moves eastward via the Shyok corridor toward Pangong Tso, entering Ladakh’s high-altitude lake belt. The itinerary continues deeper into the remote Changthang plateau toward Hanle, a sparsely populated frontier region known for vast open plains and clear night skies.

The circuit then extends southward toward Tso Moriri through isolated high passes and wide Himalayan plains. On the return to Leh, the route passes geothermal valleys and salt lakes before crossing Tanglang La and re-entering the Indus Valley monastery region, completing a comprehensive northern and eastern Ladakh loop prior to departure.
