This 8-day winter Ladakh tour begins in Leh Ladakh, with a relaxed arrival schedule for high-altitude acclimatization before visiting Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Leh Market. The following day covers Hall of Fame Museum, Spituk Monastery, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara, Magnetic Hill and Sangam Point, along with the planned Hall of Fame Light & Sound Show. Sightseeing and show operations remain subject to weather, local operating schedules, road conditions and accessibility.
The winter journey then leaves Leh via Khardung La and Khalsar for Nubra Valley, continuing to Diskit Monastery and Hunder Village. The planned Bactrian Camel Safari across the cold desert terrain remains subject to weather and local conditions, while travel across Khardung La depends on road conditions, permit requirements and local accessibility.
From Hunder, the itinerary includes a winter excursion through Thoise towards Turtuk and Thang Village before returning to Nubra Valley. A separate excursion proceeds through Khalsar, Sumur and Panamik towards Sasoma and areas near Siachen Base Camp. Snowfall, icy roads, extreme cold, permits and local accessibility may affect both sectors, and the route or sightseeing sequence may be adjusted accordingly.
The circuit continues from Hunder along the Agham–Shyok Road beside the Shyok River towards Pangong Tso for an overnight stay near the lake. Winter conditions may create frozen or snow-covered surroundings, but these conditions are weather-dependent and cannot be guaranteed. Travel towards Pangong may also vary according to snowfall, icy roads, extreme weather and local accessibility.
The return journey from Pangong proceeds towards Leh Ladakh via Chang La, with planned visits to Hemis Monastery, Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Rancho School and Sindhu Ghat. Travel across Chang La and sightseeing coverage remain subject to snowfall, icy roads, extreme cold, weather conditions and local accessibility.
After the final overnight stay in Leh, the winter circuit concludes with a transfer to Leh Airport. Snowfall, fog, extreme cold, weather conditions or flight disruptions may affect airport transfers and flight schedules, so keeping buffer time and staying updated with flight status is recommended.
Travel Note: Sightseeing on the arrival day should remain relaxed to support proper acclimatization. Avoid strenuous activities and stay well hydrated while adjusting to Leh’s high altitude.
Travel Note: Sightseeing and the Light & Sound Show are subject to weather, local operating schedules, road conditions, and accessibility. The sequence may be adjusted accordingly.
Travel Note: Travel across Khardung La is subject to weather, road conditions, permit requirements, and local accessibility. Camel safari operations may also depend on weather and local conditions.
