This 8-day Chandigarh to Leh overland journey begins in the plains and gradually ascends into the Himalayas through Himachal Pradesh. The route moves northward via Kullu Valley to Manali, then crosses the Atal Tunnel into the Lahaul region, halting at Jispa to prepare for higher altitude terrain.

From Jispa, the drive continues across multiple high passes including Baralacha La and Tanglang La, entering Ladakh through dramatic mountain landscapes and plateau stretches before reaching Leh. A full day in Leh covers cultural landmarks along the Indus Valley belt.

The journey then shifts north across Khardung La into Nubra Valley’s cold desert terrain before heading east via the Shyok corridor to Pangong Lake.
