This 8-day winter journey begins in Leh Ladakh, where the arrival schedule remains relaxed for acclimatization before Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Leh Market. The next day covers Hall of Fame Museum, Spituk Monastery, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara, Magnetic Hill and Sangam Point, along with the planned Hall of Fame Light & Sound Show. Sightseeing and show operations remain subject to weather, local schedules, road conditions and accessibility.
The journey then crosses Khardung La and Khalsar to reach Nubra Valley, where Diskit Monastery, Hunder Village and the cold desert terrain form the main experiences. The Bactrian Camel Safari remains subject to weather and local operations, while travel across Khardung La depends on road conditions, permits and local accessibility.
From Hunder, the winter route extends to Turtuk through Thoise Village, followed by Thang Village before returning to Hunder. This border-region excursion may be affected by snowfall, icy roads, weather conditions, permit requirements and local accessibility, so timing and sightseeing coverage can vary.
The circuit then follows the Agham–Shyok Road beside the Shyok River towards Pangong Tso for an overnight stay near the lake. Winter conditions may create snow-covered or frozen landscapes, but these conditions are weather-dependent and cannot be guaranteed. Access along the route may also change with snowfall, icy roads and local conditions.
From Pangong, the journey continues through Chushul, Mirpal Lake, Kaksang La, Hore La, Yaye Tso, Mahe Bridge and Kyagar Tso before reaching Tso Moriri. Visits and route coverage on this high-altitude winter sector depend on snowfall and road conditions, with timing managed according to prevailing conditions.
The return to Leh proceeds through Chumathang and Karu, followed by planned visits to Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace and Druk White Lotus School. This sightseeing and the Tso Moriri–Chumathang route remain dependent on snowfall and road conditions. After the final overnight stay in Leh, the tour concludes with an airport transfer, while snowfall, fog, extreme cold or flight disruptions may affect transfer and flight schedules.
Travel Note: Sightseeing on the arrival day should remain relaxed to support proper acclimatization. Avoid strenuous activities and stay well hydrated while adjusting to Leh’s high altitude.
Travel Note: Sightseeing and the Light & Sound Show are subject to weather, local operating schedules, road conditions, and accessibility. The sequence may be adjusted accordingly.
Travel Note: Travel across Khardung La is subject to weather, road conditions, permit requirements, and local accessibility. Camel safari operations may also depend on weather and local conditions.
