This 6-day winter journey begins in Leh Ladakh, where the arrival day is kept relaxed for acclimatization before visiting Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Leh Market. From Leh, the route continues across Khardung La and Khalsar into Nubra Valley. The winter circuit then leaves Hunder along the Agham–Shyok Road, following the Shyok River via Shyok Village towards Pangong Tso.
