This 6-day winter journey begins in Leh Ladakh, where the arrival day is kept relaxed for acclimatization before visiting Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Leh Market. The next day covers Hall of Fame Museum, Spituk Monastery, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara, Magnetic Hill and Sangam Point, followed by the planned Hall of Fame Light & Sound Show. Sightseeing and the show remain subject to weather, local operating schedules, road conditions and accessibility.
From Leh, the route continues across Khardung La and Khalsar into Nubra Valley. The day includes Diskit Monastery and Hunder Village, where the sand dunes and Bactrian Camel Safari form the main cold-desert experience. Travel across Khardung La remains subject to weather, road conditions, permit requirements and local accessibility, while camel safari operations may depend on weather and local conditions.
The winter circuit then leaves Hunder along the Agham–Shyok Road, following the Shyok River via Shyok Village towards Pangong Tso. The stay near Pangong brings a high-altitude lake setting surrounded by Himalayan winter scenery, while frozen or snow-covered conditions depend on prevailing weather and are not guaranteed. Travel on this sector may be affected by snowfall, icy roads, extreme weather and local accessibility.
The return journey to Leh is planned via Chang La, followed by Hemis Monastery, Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Rancho School and Sindhu Ghat. Travel through Chang La and the sightseeing sequence may be adjusted depending on snowfall, icy roads, extreme cold, weather conditions and local accessibility.
After the final overnight stay in Leh, the winter tour concludes with a transfer to Leh Airport for the onward flight. Snowfall, fog, extreme cold, weather conditions or flight disruptions may affect airport transfers and flight schedules, so keeping buffer time and checking flight status is recommended.
Travel Note: Sightseeing on the arrival day should remain relaxed to support proper acclimatization. Avoid strenuous activities and stay well hydrated while adjusting to Leh’s high altitude.
Travel Note: Sightseeing and the Light & Sound Show are subject to weather, local operating schedules, road conditions, and accessibility. The sequence may be adjusted accordingly.
Travel Note: Travel across Khardung La is subject to weather, road conditions, permit requirements, and local accessibility. Camel safari operations may also depend on weather and local conditions.
