The expedition commences with a northern transfer from Dehradun into the spiritual gateway of Rishikesh. The initial phase of the journey follows the Alaknanda and Mandakini river corridors, ascending through the major confluences of Devprayag and Rudraprayag. This geographic transition moves the route from the subtropical foothills into the high-altitude glacial valleys of the Kedarnath region.
The route then shifts eastward into the alpine meadows of Chopta, utilizing this high-altitude "Mini Switzerland" as a base for vertical trekking expeditions to the world highest Shiva temple and the surrounding ridgelines. The journey continues north toward the Dhauliganga valley, connecting with the sacred Badrinath shrine and the remote border settlements of the Mana valley.
The final leg of the itinerary centers on the winter sports slopes of Auli and the mountain hub of Joshimath. Movement is facilitated by high-altitude ropeways and trekking trails that overlook the Nanda Devi National Park. The circuit concludes with a steady western descent through the Garhwal river valleys, returning to the Dehradun transit hubs for departure.
