8 Days Arunachal Pradesh Trip Overview

This 8-day Arunachal Pradesh winter tour begins with the journey from Guwahati towards Dirang through changing mountain landscapes, towns and traditional villages. Winter weather and road conditions can affect the first day's travel timings, so the itinerary allows flexibility along the route.

The Dirang section includes Dirang Dzong, Dirang Monastery, the natural Hot Water Spring and Kalachakra Gompa, followed by exploration of Sangti Valley and its riverside landscapes, traditional Monpa villages and Himalayan surroundings. The supplied itinerary repeats the Sangti Valley programme later in the tour, so this sightseeing remains retained as part of the planned route.

From Dirang, the journey continues towards Tawang through Sela Pass, with Jaswant Garh War Memorial, Jung Falls or Nuranang Falls, Ugyenling Monastery and the Giant Buddha Statue included along the way. High-altitude travel, waterfall access and mountain visibility remain subject to winter weather and local road conditions.

The Tawang portion includes Tawang Monastery, a scenic viewpoint and Gaden Namgyal Lhatse Museum.
