8 Days Uttarakhand Trip Overview

The family journey begins with arrival in Dehradun, followed by a drive through the Shivalik hills to Rishikesh. On arrival, the itinerary includes a visit to Laxman Jhula, hotel check-in, dinner, and overnight stay. The next day covers Rishikesh sightseeing, including Ram Jhula, Sivananda Ashram, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, and Janki Setu, along with optional rafting on the Ganga before returning to the hotel.

The route then proceeds from Rishikesh to Guptkashi via Devprayag, Srinagar, and Rudraprayag, covering river confluences and mountain landscapes before overnight stay. The Kedarnath section begins with a drive to Gaurikund followed by a 15–18 km trek to Kedarnath Temple, including en route breaks and views of the Garhwal Himalayas. After temple visit and aarti, the journey returns to Guptkashi, followed by a drive to Chopta through forested routes and Himalayan terrain.

The Chopta section includes a trek to Tungnath Temple and further to Chandrashila for panoramic Himalayan views, followed by a forest trek to Kartik Swami Temple via Kanakchauri. The next day continues with another Kartik Swami Temple excursion through forest trails before returning to Chopta.
