This helicopter Chardham Yatra begins from Dehradun in the Shivalik foothills, offering seamless air connectivity into the Garhwal Himalayas. The journey starts with a direct flight toward Yamunotri via Kharsali, marking the first spiritual destination in the high-altitude region.

From Yamunotri, the aerial route continues toward Harsil in the Bhagirathi valley, passing over alpine meadows and snow-clad Himalayan peaks. The itinerary then transitions toward Gangotri, combining short drives and temple access within the serene river valley of Bhagirathi.

The journey then moves deeper into the central Himalayas toward Kedarnath via Sersi, navigating dramatic mountain ranges and high-altitude valleys. This segment connects the sacred Shiva shrine with aerial transfers and shuttle operations due to the rugged terrain.

From Kedarnath, the helicopter route continues toward Badrinath, crossing iconic Himalayan peaks such as Chaukhamba and Nanda Devi. This section highlights the transition from Shiva temples to the Vishnu shrine located in the Alaknanda valley.

The final stage includes exploration of Mana Village and nearby mythological sites before returning to Dehradun, completing the Chardham circuit through a seamless aerial pilgrimage across the Garhwal Himalayas.

6 Days Uttarakhand Itinerary (Day Wise Plan)

Upon arrival in Dehradun, meet your representative and transfer to your hotel for a relaxed and comfortable start to your stay
Spend the day unwinding at your hotel, enjoying its facilities, taking a short walk, or simply soaking in the calm surroundings of the Doon Valley
Return to your hotel by evening, enjoy a delicious dinner, and settle in for an overnight stay in Dehradun

The helicopter journey begins at 09:30 AM, and all passengers of Package II are advised to check out and leave the hotel by 08:30 AM for timely reporting at the helipad
After a short briefing, passengers will board the helicopters for the onward journey, marking the start of an exhilarating aerial pilgrimage
Our specially trained pilots provide engaging commentary throughout the flight, sharing mesmerizing views of snow-clad Himalayan peaks and key landmarks en route
They also narrate fascinating mythological stories associated with the sacred Chardham Yatra during the helicopter ride
Departing between 09:30 AM to 10:00 AM from Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun, the helicopter arrives at Kharsali Helipad in Yamunotri
Kharsali Village, located at an altitude of around 8,500 feet, serves as the base for the sacred trek to Yamunotri Temple
Upon arrival, passengers are transferred to the nearby Hotel Yamunakriti for check-in and rest
After check-in, passengers will be assisted with a traditional Palki service carried by four porters, taking them towards the temple; the journey takes approximately 3 hours uphill and 2 hours on return
Our tour guide will accompany and assist passengers during the sacred Yamunotri Temple darshan
As Kharsali is a remote Himalayan village, hotel facilities are basic yet clean, with well-maintained rooms, linen, and essential amenities
Meals served are simple, pure, and homely, ensuring a comfortable stay in the mountains
In the evening, guests are advised to visit the nearby Shani Temple, believed to be the world’s oldest temple dedicated to Lord Shani, son of Surya and brother of Goddess Yamuna
According to local beliefs, the temple deity is known to manifest divine powers, making it a spiritually significant site for devotees

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Begin a scenic helicopter journey from Yamunotri to Gangotri, flying over vast Himalayan bugyals and snow-clad peaks
Witness the breathtaking Bugyals, high-altitude Himalayan meadows located above 10,000 feet, offering surreal natural beauty from the air
During the flight, passengers may also glimpse the majestic Gangotri Group of Peaks shimmering in the distance
Departure from Kharsali Helipad and arrival at Harsil Helipad, marking the gateway to the serene Bhagirathi valley
Harsil is a tranquil Himalayan hamlet situated at around 8,500 feet on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, surrounded by pine forests and apple orchards
Often called the “Mini Switzerland of India,” Harsil is also known for being a filming location of the iconic movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili
Upon arrival, our team will welcome passengers at Harsil Helipad and assist with transfers to the hotel or onward temple visit
The hotel is located approximately 2 km from the helipad, while Gangotri Temple lies about 22 km away (around 1 hour drive)
From the parking area, a short 400-meter walk leads to Gangotri Temple, where our team will assist with smooth darshan arrangements
Return to the hotel by lunchtime and relax amidst the serene natural surroundings of the valley
Stay at Khili Resort, located near the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Jalandhari Rivers, offering stunning views of snow-capped peaks
Enjoy local sightseeing with a visit to the ancient Lord Vishnu Temple and Hari Shila, both within walking distance
According to legend, Hari Shila is believed to have calmed the dispute between the Bhagirathi and Jalandhari Rivers
In the evening, enjoy a peaceful riverside bonfire experience at the resort
Optionally, guests may visit a nearby Bhutia Village to experience local Himalayan culture

10:30 AM – 11:15 AM: Departure from Harsil Helipad towards Sersi Helipad for helicopter changeover en route to Kedarnath, as direct flights may be subject to air traffic conditions in the region
The helicopter journey from Harsil to Kedarnath offers breathtaking views of the Garhwal Himalayas, showcasing majestic peaks like Shivling, Thalaysagar, Bhrigupanth, Meru, Sumeru, and Kedar Dome
Arrival at Sersi Helipad, the base point in the Kedar Valley, followed by onward shuttle transfer to Kedarnath Helipad
Upon arrival at Kedarnath Helipad, our dedicated team will assist with hotel check-in arrangements in Kedarnath
Later, passengers will be guided for special Kedarnath Temple darshan, scheduled as per crowd conditions and temple arrangements
The temple is located approximately 500 meters from the helipad at an altitude of around 11,500 feet, and it takes about 15–20 minutes of slow walking to reach
Visitors are advised to walk slowly and acclimatize properly due to the high-altitude environment of Kedarnath
Later in the day, guests may visit the sacred Shankaracharya Samadhi, now developed as a revered memorial site
Adventure seekers may also undertake a short but steep trek to Bhairon Temple, located approximately 500–600 meters from Kedarnath Temple
In the evening, arrangements will be made for special Rudrabhishek Puja at Kedarnath Temple, continuing throughout the night
The schedule for the puja will be coordinated by our team in consultation with the temple committee to ensure smooth participation
Visitors should expect a waiting time of approximately 30–45 minutes outside the temple before the commencement of the special puja

13:15 PM: Departure from Kedarnath Helipad (via Sersi) towards Badrinath Helipad, followed by arrival at approximately 13:45 PM
Shortly after take-off, passengers are treated to a spectacular close aerial view of the majestic Chaukhamba Peak, one of the most prominent and highest peaks on the route
During the journey, enjoy an aerial darshan of the sacred Tungnath Temple, the highest Lord Shiva temple in the world and an important part of the Panch Kedar circuit
On clear weather days, passengers may also witness the grand Nanda Devi Peak near Joshimath, the second highest peak in India and revered as the protector of the Himalayas
Arrival at Badrinath, the principal Dham of the sacred Char Dham Yatra, located at around 10,000 feet on the banks of the Alaknanda River between Nar and Narayan Parvat
This holy temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu was established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th century and remains one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India
Badrinath is a small yet picturesque Himalayan town offering divine surroundings and spiritual serenity
After landing, proceed for hotel check-in at Hotel Dikesh Inn or a similar property
In the evening, experience the highlight of the Do Dham Yatra with the sacred Sandhya Aarti, organized between 04:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Badrinath Temple
Witness the divine evening aarti inside the temple premises, followed by leisure time to relax and enjoy the serene mountain views around your hotel

After breakfast, proceed for a scenic day trip to Mana Village, an essential and highly recommended excursion for every traveler in this sacred region
Mana Village is an ancient Himalayan settlement of great mythological importance, believed to be the place where Maharishi Ved Vyas composed the epic Mahabharata with Lord Ganesha in the revered Vyas Gufa
It is also believed that the Pandavas passed through this region on their journey to heaven after the Mahabharata war, adding deep spiritual significance to the village
Located just 3 km from the hotel, this afternoon visit to Mana Village offers a meaningful blend of mythology, history, and Himalayan culture
Visit the sacred Bhimpul, a natural stone bridge believed to have been placed by Bhima for Draupadi to cross the river during the Pandavas’ final journey
It is astonishing to witness how this massive stone bridge stands naturally without any visible support, adding to its mythical charm

14:45 PM: Arrival at Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun

  • Extended stays from unforeseen events are guest’s expense.
  • Only meals mentioned in the package are included; others are excluded.
  • Airfare, train tickets, are not included.
  • Guests should review all inclusions and arrange for excluded items before traveling.

Extra Weight Charges

  • Helicopters have strict weight restriction at high altitudes. Passengers weighing more than 75 Kgs will have to pay 2000 Rs per Kg for additional weight.
  • Extra weight charges will be applicable on the additional weight coming over and above the average weight. For example: If two persons are weighing 60kg and 95kg then their total weight is 155kgs whereas average weight of 2 persons is 150kg. Hence in this case they will be charged additional weight charges of 5kg.
  • If additional average weight is more than 25kgs then the passenger will be charged for two seats. For example: If one passenger weight is 60kgs and second passenger weight is 120kgs then total weight becomes 180kgs and in this case additional average weight is 30kg. Hence the passenger will have to pay for additional seat and this cost will be charged INR 125,000.
  • Passengers are advised to mention correct weight in booking form. If weight is found incorrect at the time of travel boarding will be denied. Only a maximum variation of 2 Kgs will be permitted and that too at an extra cost.
  • Helicopters' have limited weight carrying capacity; to manage the weight for safe flying in the hills, we might have to shuffle passengers between helicopters. Therefore, as per Pilot's recommendation passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in same helicopter flight.

Child/Infant & Rescheduling Policies

  • Children above the age of 2 years will be considered full ticket. The Charges applicable for infant (below 02 Years) will be 15,000 per infant.
  • Rescheduling of booking to a next date will be done subject to availability and on payment of 5% of the cost. This will be permitted only if applied 15 days before journey date. In case the rescheduling is requested with less than 15 days to the journey then booking will be treated as cancelled and a fresh booking will be given subject to availability.
  • ONLY 4KG luggage per person is permitted.
  • Passengers should carry only handbags provided by Heritage Aviation as suitcases cannot be kept in the helicopter.
  • All temples in Chardham are located in high altitude areas. Passengers having breathing problems should take advise from doctor before undertaking this yatra.
  • Passangers are advised to book evening flights/Trains departing after 6:00 PM, while returning back from Dehradun as due to weather/Operational reasons there might be delay in reaching back Badrinath to Dehradun.
  • Although day temperatures at these locations are normal but it becomes cold in the night and so passengers must carry wollen clothes with them.
  • The altitude of Kedarnath temple is 11500 Feet and Badrinath temple is 10000 Feet. Sometimes passengers may experience lack of oxygen specially at Kedarnath, hence they are advised to walk slowly. Portable oxygen bottles are available at all stations on requirement basis.
  • Kedarnath helipad to temple distance is nearly 500 meters. Pithu (Shoulder Carriage) is available on payment basis.
  • All passengers coming by helicopters are permitted to do Special darshans inside the temple however sometimes during the heavy rush period administration does not allow passengers to go inside sanctum sanctorum for puja and darshans are done from a little distance.
  • Please don't carry Dangerous goods on board the Helicopters. In case of any doubt regarding any item, please clarify with our team in advance.

Cancellations & Payment Terms

Payment Terms

  • Bookings to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the charter amount, and the balance payment has to be deposited 07 days prior to the date of arrival in Dehradun.

Cancellation Policy

  • If passengers wish to cancel their booking, then they will have to pay following cancellation charges:
  • Upto 20 days before journey: INR 10,000 Per Person
  • Between 20 Days to 07 Days Before Journey: 50% of total Package cost
  • Less than 07 Days before journey: 100% of total Package cost

Bad Weather Situation

  • If we are stuck in a bad weather situation on any particular day out of the 5 days, we will still try to finish the darshan on next day. Suppose there is bad weather on 3rd day and we are unable to fly to Kedarnath then we will try and do both Kedarnath and Badrinath on 4th day.
  • In case we are completely unable to visit any Dham due to bad weather situation we will refund proportionate money. This means that if due to any reason we are unable to do 2 dhams then we will refund 50% payment after deducting Dehradun accommodation, meals or any other consumed services.
  • In case of bad weather if the stay gets extended beyond 5 nights, then passengers will have to bear the cost of additional night stay. Cost applicable for Additional night stay will be INR 7500 Per person per Night.
