This Himalayan pilgrimage begins in Dehradun and moves toward the spiritual town of Rishikesh in the Shivalik foothills. From here, the journey transitions eastward into the Kumaon region, reaching the scenic hill station of Nainital through forested roads and lake-region landscapes.
From Nainital, the route continues deeper into eastern Uttarakhand toward Pithoragarh, passing through mid-hill valleys and traditional Kumaoni regions. The journey then advances toward Dharchula, marking the gateway to the higher Himalayan terrain along the Indo-Nepal border.
From Dharchula, the itinerary ascends into remote high-altitude zones toward Gunji or Nabi through narrow valleys, alpine landscapes, and mountain villages. This section marks the transition into the inner Himalayan region with limited access and pristine surroundings.
Excursions from the base villages lead toward Adi Kailash via Jyolingkong and toward Nabidhang for Om Parvat, combining short treks with high-altitude drives across rugged Himalayan terrain and glacial valleys.
After completing the pilgrimage circuit, the journey descends gradually back through Dharchula to Pithoragarh, retracing the Himalayan route from alpine terrain to lower valleys before concluding the yatra with departure arrangements.
