6 Days Himachal Pradesh Trip Overview

The journey begins from Delhi with an overnight Volvo transfer through Haryana and Punjab, reaching Manali by morning. After arrival, the itinerary includes rest and acclimatization in the Himalayan foothills. The route continues with a visit to Solang Valley followed by a drive through the Atal Tunnel into Lahaul region. Scenic stops at Sissu Village and Keylong introduce changing landscapes before reaching Jispa, a riverside village along the Bhaga River, where the day concludes with overnight stay.

From Jispa, the journey progresses towards Purne, crossing the high-altitude Shinkula Pass that connects Lahaul to Zanskar. En route, views of Gambo Ranjan peak and surrounding valleys are observed. Upon reaching Purne, the itinerary includes a trek along the Tsarap River trail featuring gorges, suspension bridges, and remote villages, leading to Phuktal Monastery, a cave-built structure set into a cliff, before returning to Purne for overnight stay.

The return route begins from Purne to Jispa, again crossing Shinkula Pass and passing through Zanskar Sumdo where terrain gradually changes. From Jispa, the drive continues towards Manali via the Atal Tunnel, with a stop at Solang Valley for brief sightseeing. Upon arrival in Manali, the journey concludes with an overnight Volvo transfer back to Delhi, completing the circuit covering Lahaul and Zanskar regions with remote high-altitude routes.

Depart Purney after breakfast at the hotel and begin a spectacular drive through the high Himalayas.
The journey’s main highlight is crossing Shinkula Pass (approx. 5,091 m), one of the most scenic and remote passes on the Zanskar–Lahaul route. Expect dramatic mountain views, snow patches, and a true sense of altitude and isolation.
Descend toward Zanskar Sumdo, where the terrain begins to soften and the river valleys open up—this marks the transition from rugged Zanskar to greener Himachal landscapes.
Continue onward to Jispa, arriving by evening.
Check in at your hotel, enjoy dinner at the hotel, and relax with an overnight stay in Jispa.


Depart Jispa after breakfast and drive toward Manali, enjoying changing landscapes from cold desert to pine valleys.
En route, pass through the iconic Atal Tunnel, one of the world’s longest highway tunnels at high altitude, offering a smooth and scenic transition into Kullu–Manali region.
