8 Days Sikkim Trip Overview

The journey begins with arrival at Bagdogra or NJP, followed by a scenic drive along the Teesta River valley ascending into Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.

From Gangtok, the route heads north into the remote high-altitude region of North Sikkim, gradually climbing through forested slopes and mountain terrain to reach Lachen.

An early morning excursion travels further north toward Gurudongmar Lake near the Tibetan plateau before descending through alpine valleys to Lachung.

While based in Lachung, the itinerary explores Yumthang Valley and extends toward Zero Point and nearby hot spring areas before returning to the village.

The journey then retraces the mountain highway southward back to Gangtok, completing the North Sikkim circuit across valleys, rivers and high passes.

Additional city sightseeing in Gangtok covers ridge-top viewpoints and monasteries before heading east on a separate excursion toward Nathula Pass with stops at Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir.

On the final day, the route descends from the Himalayan hills to Bagdogra, concluding the comprehensive North Sikkim and border circuit journey.
