6 Days Himachal Pradesh Trip Overview

This 6-day Himachal Pradesh winter tour starts from Chandigarh and travels through Bilaspur, Sundarnagar, Mandi, Bhuntar and Kullu before reaching Manali. Mountain journey timings may vary depending on winter weather, visibility, traffic and local road conditions.

The Manali stay includes a dedicated local sightseeing day covering Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Temple, Jogini Waterfalls, Mall Road, Tibetan Monastery and Manali Wildlife Sanctuary. Trekking and outdoor sightseeing remain subject to weather, visibility and local conditions.

The next winter excursion combines Solang Valley with the route through Atal Tunnel towards Sissu. Paragliding, zorbing and skiing at Solang Valley are subject to weather and local conditions, while the Sissu programme includes Sissu Waterfall and time around the village before returning to Manali.

The route then continues from Manali towards Kasol, with stops at Kullu Shawl Factory and Kullu Rabbit Farm before visiting Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara. After time at Kasol Market, the tour includes an overnight stay in Kasol before continuing through Parvati Valley, Bhuntar, Kullu, Mandi, Sundernagar, Bilaspur and Solan towards Shimla. This mountain journey may take longer depending on fog, snowfall, traffic and road conditions.

The final day covers Shimla sightseeing at Jakhoo Hill and Hanuman Temple, The Ridge, Rashtrapati Niwas, Christ Church, Mall Road, Town Hall, Gaiety Theatre and Scandal Point, followed by the Himalayan Zoo. Outdoor sightseeing, the Jakhoo Hill trek and the zoo visit remain subject to weather and local conditions. After sightseeing, the tour concludes with the journey from Shimla to Chandigarh for the onward flight or train.

  • Transport AC charges are not included in the package cost and will be charged extra if requested.
  • Heating charges are not included in the package or room cost. In Himachal Pradesh, room heaters are generally provided on request and are chargeable separately as per the respective hotel's policy and availability. Since weather conditions and guest preferences vary, heating charges are always excluded from the package. This condition does not apply to hotels with centrally heated rooms, where heating is already included by the hotel.
  • Personal expenses such as shopping, laundry, tips, snacks, beverages, additional meals, garden entry fees, monument entry tickets, camera charges, and activity charges are not included.
  • During winter, certain destinations such as Hatu Peak, Kalatop, Jakhu Temple, and other snow-bound sightseeing locations may be accessible only through local union taxis, authorized 4×4 vehicles, shuttle services, or other locally approved transportation due to snowfall, road conditions, vehicle restrictions, or safety guidelines. Wherever applicable, such arrangements and the associated charges shall be payable directly by the guest as per the prevailing local union or government-approved rates.
  • Rohtang Pass generally remains closed during winter due to heavy snowfall, usually from November to mid-May. If the pass remains closed, sightseeing to Rohtang Pass will not be possible.
  • If Rohtang Pass opens and permits are being issued by the authorities, the following additional charges (including permit) will apply:
    • Sedan – ₹3,500
    • SUV – ₹5,000
    • Tempo Traveller – ₹8,000
  • During winter, destinations or sightseeing points included in the itinerary may occasionally remain closed or require special transportation due to heavy snowfall, black ice, avalanche risk, road conditions, or government restrictions. Places such as Atal Tunnel, Gramphoo, Sissu, Khajjiar, Hamta Valley, and other snow-bound locations may require local union-approved 4×4 vehicles or other authorized transportation for safe access. Wherever applicable, the charges for such vehicles shall be payable directly by the guest as per the prevailing union or government-approved rates.
  • During periods of heavy snowfall, sightseeing towards the Hamta Pass region is generally possible only through authorized 4×4 vehicles. The approximate charge is ₹5,000 per vehicle per day, payable directly by the guest.
  • Any additional destinations, sightseeing points, monuments, routes, vehicle usage, waiting time, route deviations, or itinerary changes requested by the guest, or arising due to snowfall, weather conditions, road closures, natural calamities, government regulations, or operational requirements, will be arranged wherever feasible and charged additionally as per the applicable rates.
