This Himalayan pilgrimage begins from Pantnagar and moves into the Kumaon hills, reaching the scenic lake town of Nainital through forested mountain roads. From here, the journey continues deeper into eastern Uttarakhand toward Pithoragarh, transitioning from lake regions into mid-hill valleys.
From Pithoragarh, the route advances toward Dharchula along the Kali River, marking the entry into remote Himalayan terrain near the Indo-Nepal border. This section highlights winding mountain roads, terraced fields, and river valleys typical of the Kumaon Himalayas.
The journey then ascends into higher altitudes toward Gunji or Nabi, passing through narrow valleys and alpine landscapes. These remote villages serve as the base for exploring inner Himalayan regions with limited access and pristine surroundings.
Excursions from the base villages lead toward Adi Kailash via Jyolingkong and toward Nabidhang for Om Parvat, combining short treks and mountain drives across rugged terrain and glacial valleys.
After completing the pilgrimage circuit, the itinerary descends gradually back through Dharchula to Pithoragarh, retracing the Himalayan route from high-altitude landscapes to lower valleys before concluding the journey with departure.
