6 Days Sikkim Trip Overview

The journey begins with arrival at Bagdogra or NJP, followed by an uphill drive along the Teesta River valley into Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim in the Eastern Himalayas.

From Gangtok, the route moves north into the remote high-altitude region of North Sikkim, ascending through forested slopes and mountain roads to reach the village of Lachen.

An early morning excursion continues further north toward the Tibetan plateau region at Gurudongmar Lake before descending southward through alpine terrain to Lachung.

The itinerary then explores the Yumthang Valley region before retracing the scenic mountain highway back to Gangtok, completing a circular route across North Sikkim’s valleys and river systems.

On the final day, the route descends from the Himalayan hills back to Bagdogra through the Teesta valley, concluding the North Sikkim and border circuit journey.
