The route then shifts eastward across the mountain passes toward the Bhagirathi river basin. This geographic transition moves the journey into the Uttarkashi district, a region defined by its deep river gorges and ancient monastic settlements. The final leg of the itinerary explores the high northern reaches of the Gangotri valley before descending through the forest reserves and riverine corridors back toward the transit hubs of Dehradun for departure.
