5 Days Sikkim Trip Overview

The journey begins with arrival at Bagdogra or NJP, followed by a mountain drive along the Teesta River valley ascending toward Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.

From Gangtok, the route moves north into the remote region of North Sikkim, gradually climbing through forested slopes and high-altitude terrain to reach Lachen, a small Himalayan settlement.

An early morning excursion continues further north to the high-altitude plateau of Gurudongmar Lake near the Indo-Tibetan border, before descending southward through alpine landscapes to Lachung.

The itinerary then explores the Yumthang Valley region before retracing the mountain highway back to Gangtok, offering a full circuit of North Sikkim’s valleys and river systems.

On the final day, the route descends from the Eastern Himalayas through the Teesta valley to Bagdogra for departure, completing a compact high-altitude Himalayan journey.
