 Itinerary
  • On arrival in Srinagar, get welcomed by a representative who will help you get transferred to your pre-booked hotel.
  • Complete the check-in formalities, rest for some time and later head out to explore Srinagar.
  • Take a walk in the world-famous Mughal Gardens including the Shalimar Bagh and the Nishat Bagh and also visit the Chashma Sahi natural spring that adds to the beauty of these royal landscapes against the Zabarwan Hills.
  • Visit Asia's largest tulip garden, followed by a visit to Pari Mahal.
  • Visit the holy Hazaratbal Shrine, where a hair strand of Prophet Mohammad is carefully preserved.
  • You will also visit the Shankaracharya Temple.
  • In the evening, spend some time near the lake and explore the markets.
  • Return back to the hotel, enjoy a scrumptious dinner.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel Or House Boat in Srinagar.
  • Start your day early in the morning and leave Srinagar for Sonamarg, which is located about 80 kilometers away from Srinagar. The drive to Sonamarg is scenic and you will pass through lush green valleys and meandering rivers.      
  • On the way, you can stop at various scenic spots to take photographs and enjoy the view. Some of the popular stops include the Sind River, Gagangir, and Kangan.           
  • Reach Sonamarg by mid-morning and take a break for breakfast at one of the local restaurants or cafes. You can try the local delicacies like Kashmiri tea, kehwa, and bakerkhani.
  • After breakfast, you can take a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier, which is located about 7 kilometers away from Sonamarg. The glacier is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and offers breathtaking views.
  • As you start driving towards Kargil, you will pass through some breath-taking landscapes of the Himalayan ranges.
  • The Second stop on your journey is the famous Zojila Pass, located at an altitude of 11,575 feet above sea level. Here, you can take a short break and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains.
  • The next stop on your journey is the Drass War Memorial, which is dedicated to the brave soldiers who fought in the Kargil War. Take some time to pay your respects and learn about the history of the war.
  • From here, continue your journey towards Kargil, which is located at an altitude of 8,780 feet above sea level.
  • As you approach Kargil, you will be greeted with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the beautiful Suru River.

  • Have breakfast at your hotel in Kargil and head out for your journey to Lamayuru.

  • After reaching the top of the pass, spend some time admiring the panoramic views and taking pictures. You can also visit the army checkpoint and grab a cup of tea or coffee at the small cafeteria.
